BIP School’s Director
Robert Unsworth (BSc. (Hons.), PGCE, MA Ed., NPQH)

Robert has been in international education and educational leadership for over 25 years, and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to lead our British International Programme school’s group. Originally from Shropshire in the UK, Robert has held senior leadership positions around the world including Brunei, Georgia and Turkey, as well retaining a passion for primary education and science teaching. Robert has a strong connection to the island, having been visiting the island for over 20 years, and is joined by his Cypriot wife and 2 children. Outside of work Robert enjoys playing a variety of instruments, musical production, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and getting out into the mountains to explore the countryside.

Deniz Ozkan,

Deniz has 28 years of educational experience with Near East, has worked in senior leadership for several years and has particular expertise in EAL and English teaching with Cambridge, Edexcel and IELTS. She believes in the uniqueness of every student and is committed to fostering a school community where each child thrives and receives the best education in order to reach their full potential.

Michelle Storr, (BEd. (Hons.), NPQH)

Michelle is an accomplished educator with 26 years of teaching experience in the UK and internationally. With a deep commitment to education, Michelle brings a wealth of knowledge to teaching, learning and school development. As an experienced school leader Michelle is delighted to be part of the DSG BIP team and lead our Kyrenia British international programme.

Fatma Tasbilek,

Fatma comes to BIP Yenibogazaci with extensive leadership experience in the UK and has led our British International Programme for 2 years, including managing the establishment of NEC BIP on a brand-new purpose-built site in 2023. Fatma believes in holistic pupil development and is committed to pastoral provision and academic achievement of all pupils to ensure they are well-equipped for future challenges.
